Pegasus Sound and Light has been part of Scotland’s audio visual landscape since 1978. What began as a small disco and record shop on Rodney Street in Edinburgh has grown into a trusted provider of AV hire, production, sales, service, and installation solutions across Scotland.
Now based on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, our journey reflects over four decades of adapting to new technologies, growing industry demands, and the needs of our clients.
From our earliest days supplying sound systems for mobile discos, we’ve evolved with the industry—expanding our services, upgrading our inventory, and building a team of experienced professionals. Today, we work across a broad spectrum of projects, from AV installations in retail and hospitality spaces to full production support for corporate events, private functions, and weddings.

One standout event was lighting up the Concorde plane in red for the Scottish launch of the Ferrari California – a striking combination of two icons of design and engineering.

Who We Are
Pegasus Sound and Light is a family-run business built on experience, trust, and a real passion for audio visual technology. Our core in-house team includes service engineers, AV technicians, and project managers – all with over 10 years of industry experience. Some of our team members have worked in AV for over 45 years, bringing deep technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to every job.
We also work with a trusted network of contractors, allowing us to scale up for large projects while maintaining our high standards.
We believe in doing things properly. Every piece of equipment we send out is tested and prepped to ensure it performs as expected. Our team pays close attention to detail and works hard behind the scenes to deliver a seamless result for every client.
